22 Months

Camden,

You are now 22 months old. You grown so much over the last few months. Your shoes are nearly too small, I no longer need to roll up your pant legs, and the chubby little baby face is now gone. And, you weight 30 lbs. and are becoming almost too heavy for Mommy to hold for long periods of time.

Your vocabulary is so big now and you will repeat anything. Just this morning, Daddy was ironing his shirt and he said, "Camden, stay away it (the iron) is hot." You, my sweet boy, replied "burn!" You are so right, the iron is hot and it will burn you.

Each time we get into the car to go somewhere, you will say, "Mommy, Uggles" as you want to listen to The Wiggles audio CD.

You will say your name with prompting. Your pronounce Camden as "Cammen" or "CamCam" if you see a picture of you.

This week, Aunt Allie and Uncle Miles were home. You have called Aunt Allie "Aaaeee" for quite some time. As for Miles, you call him "Minus." It is too funny. they have been gone a few times and you still ask about "Aaaee - Minus" and tell us that they are "bye, bye."

You really got the hang of opening presents this Christmas. When you see an wrapped gift, you will say "opun peasent" and then begin ripping. We have a few gifts left under the tree that haven't yet been delivered (we still have one more Christmas to go yet) and you tell us each day that you would like to "opun peasents." You will even help yourself and attempt to open when we aren't watching you closely.

You still love tractors. Instead of making the tractor sounds you will stay "tactor." You like trailers and wagons too. Every once in awhile, Mommy or Daddy will be in the other room and you will start to throw a huge fit and begin screaming. When we rush to the room that you are in we often find that you are attempting to hook up the trailer or wagon to your "tactor" and are unsuccessful. You get frustrated easily when you can't accomplish a task that you are working on - much like Mommy and Pappy. I must say that you do have a bit of a temper - hmm, where does it come from? I bet our blog readers can figure this one out, huh?

You still take a nap most afternoons for about an hour and a half. Mommy has a difficult time getting you down for a nap. You want to waller me around in the rocker and on our bed. When Daddy holds you, you fall right to sleep. It has always been this way since you were tiny. You prefer Daddy and nap time and bedtime.

You now have one big bottom molar that has completely come in. You are working on your other bottom molar and on a top molar. You don't dare allow us to stick our finger in your mouth to feel. If we do, you bite hard!

You are now sleeping in your own bed. We said goodbye to the crib (that you never slept in) and put up a futon. You have slept in your new bed two nights on your own without waking up. You will go into your room and say "bed, bed." We are so proud of you for making this transition so easy!

You are doing so much more - way to much to list on the blog and Mommy has recorded lots more details about you and your life in your journal so when you are old enough, you can read about your everyday life there. I just wanted to share some of your new accomplishments, likes, and dislikes her with our family and friends!

Mommy and Daddy love you Camden and look forward all your new discoveries!

XOXO - Mommy
