The Cookie Maker

He's quite the helper now these days. Sometimes providing a little more help than what I need. Anyway, I think he's more excited about the KitchenAid that I am. He refers to this as the "cookie maker."

And, yes, you can see the "cookie maker" marks on those chunky cheeks. I almost needed a rubber scrapper to clean off that sweet face!

Back to Work

Pappy is getting ready to go back to work - thankfully he has recovered quite well from his shoulder surgery. While he's been off, Pappy and Camden have spent lots of time together. And, you guessed it, Camden has learned to work the sheep. I'm pretty sure there isn't anything that makes Pap happier is a 3 year old boy showing his new baby lambs.

Oh, and Pappy asked Camden if he wanted to name his new baby lamb Buster. Camden replied, "Nope, we can't name him Buster. That is Andy's dog's name. You know, the Andy on Toy Story 3."

To my knowledge, this lamb still has no name.

No. 1 Gift

Of everything that a child may wish for, this was his #1 request. This wish came true on Christmas morning. Even though he was a bit under the weather on this day, he was still excited and joyful to have received roller skates.

Trees II

To those who have been on the fence on whether to get a real tree or not, I vote do it. It wasn't near the mess that I thought it would be. It's true, you do have to water every day. Needles do fall but are easily swept up (on hardwood that is). It may be difficult getting in and out of your house (if you don't have french doors).

But, is smells refreshing and looks beautiful. We will do it again!

Trees

Did you know that you should plant trees in the months that have a "R"? We sure didn't.

Thanks to a neighbor, we learned that we should plant our trees in January, February, March, April, September, October, November, or December. We chose November, a weekend when Perk-a-lawn was having a 30% off sale on shade trees. Lucky for us, this same neighbor has a very nice tractor he was willing to loan us for the afternoon.
