The Wiggles Go Bananas..........

LIVE! Yep, that is right - we saw The Wiggles Live. A few weeks ago a friend had told us that The Wiggles were scheduled to by in Indy this month. When I learned about this, I did some research and found that there were tickets still available; however, they were kind of costly (approx. $60-$100) depending on the seats. Since I'm not a big theater person I had never been to the Murat Centre and I wasn't sure where the "good" seating was. I was a bit afraid to purchase the cheapest tickets not knowing where we would be seated and thought just maybe Camden would be too far away to really see what was going on. I didn't really want to spend $300 (a ticket for me, Camden, Austin or Mom) on only a few hours now knowing if Camden would care about it or not (although most of you know he ADORES The Wiggles).

Well, on Monday morning as I was headed to work, I was listening to the radio and the radio was giving away 4 FREE tickets to The Wiggles to caller #5. So, I dialed in and got a busy signal. I tried again, same busy signal. Again, the same thing. Then, again, I got a ring. The phone kept ringing, ringing, and ringing and FINALLY I heard a voice say "Caller Number 5, May I please have your name and address." I'm not sure I have been exciting about winning anything in my whole life.

So, yesterday, Camden, Nana, Aunt Allie, and I went to see The Wiggles. Camden LOVED it so much. He was so into the show until about the last 15 minutes or so (he was getting tired). I'm so happy we got this opportunity to go. And for future reference, any seat would have been fine and we would have been able to see from any seat (keep that in mind for any of you who may take your young ones to the Murat). If Camden is into The Wiggles next time they come, I will definitely pay to see them since he loved it so much. And honestly, I thought the show was great too!

For all those Imagination Movers fans out there, they will be coming to the Murat sometime this fall.

Here are some photos of the show!

New Discoveries

Wow, I never imagined a little could learn so much so fast. Every since Camden started walking about a month ago, he's learned so much. He's just a few weeks shy of 18 months, and here is what he's mastered lately:

- When asked how a pig goes, he quickly makes a loud snort with his nose
- When asked how a cow goes, he says 'MMM MMM"
- When asked how Pappy's sheep goes, he "Ba, aaaaaaa"
- Will clearly say Mom, Dad, Nana (my mom), and Pap (my dad) in the perfect context when looking for us
- He will say truck when he sees Daddy's truck or any other truck or tractor; however, his pronunciation is "guck"
- Places his hat on his head and ends up at the door to go outside, of course
- Will throw his diaper away in the trash
- Goes to the pantry door when asked if he would like a snack or goes to the fridge for a drink
- Will put both his little hands on his cheeks and/or eyes as if he's hiding. If we say "boo" he'll take his hands from his cheeks and/or eyes and crack up laughing hysterically
- Loves, loves, loves books - he will set by himself beside his book basket and look at books one after another. He'll also bring a book to you to read. He has access to his hard back books that have sturdy pages at all times, but we keep the softback books with paper pages on a shelf. He doesn't get to read those with out help. Lately he has been taking our hands and leading us to the bookshelf as he wants to ready the "big boy" books with Mommy and Daddy (the sweetest thing ever!)
- Knows exactly where the lawn tractor is kept (in the little red shed). When outdoors he'll go the little red shed and bang on the door as he wants to ride the lawn tractor
- Enjoys the sandbox and knows exactly how to shovel sand out onto the ground
- Is fascinated with the water hose and tries his hardest to roll up the hose on the hose real after using the hose
- Knows the location of his belly button, nose, eyes, teeth, ears, and hair
- Likes to brush his teeth and does quite well - if only we could get him to learn that he should only use "his" toothbrush and not Mommy or Daddy's or any other toothbrush that he spots
- Is a dancing machine - to commercials, in the car, to The Wiggles (his favorite), Daddy's whistling, or Mommy's singing. Camden will even attempt to sing if we sing to him - it is so funny!
- Loves to go for bike rides (although he has a bit of a fit when we put the helmet one, but once we get rolling he's happy and doesn't want to get off). He doesn't realize that bike riding is hard work for Mommy and Daddy since we're so out of shape and get very upset when the ride is over!

Still wanting to go, go, go....
These bubbles go in his bubble lawn mower but he is more interested in the bubble packaging
Big smile for Mommy as he is excited to wear his new hat

It is truly amazing how quickly he picks up on things. Each day I love him more and more!

Summer Fun

Here are few fun photos of Camden enjoying the last month of summer. He loves the sprinkler now that he can walk. While he will run around the sprinkler on his own, he enjoys it much more when Mommy participates (which is hard to do with a camera in tote).

Camden has two hats - one OshKosh hat and this Gap hat that I found for $.25 at a yard sale. We keep his hats hanging on his bedroom door knob. Lately, the first thing Camden will grab when we awakes in the morning is this Gap hat. The hat size is 24 mos. so it is a bit big on him. He places it well upon his head and gets the bill just right. You know he has the hat on perfectly when you can't see his big blue eyes. He walks around with his chin pointed upward so that he can see where is going. Can you picture him walking around the house and yard with this hat on?

I think he's laughing at his silly outfit. By the way, I do ensure his outfit matches when we are out and about, but when we are at home - any combination of the wardrobe goes!

Well, if you can't tell how Camden looks when toddling around, here is a snapshot of it - too funny!
