Lovin the Legos

For all you moms of little boys, wouldn't you agree it is sometimes hard to figure out how to play with your little men? I mean, playing tractors or trucks - what exactly do you do, drive them around in circles? I can do that, but it sure isn't very exciting, and I'm not sure that me pushing around a truck or tractor intensifies the fun for my little guy. I can color, play Play-Doh, craft, and even play games as these kinds of activities have a beginning and an end. There is a definite objective. But tractors and trucks? What exactly is the objective? I hope to figure it out!

Recently, Camden was gifted with several sets of new Legos. The Duplo Legos are the larger blocks in which Camden is now a pro at putting together and building "semis, campers, trucks, etc." on his own. But, Cam does need a little extra help with the traditional smaller Lego blocks. Growing up with only a sister, we didn't have a set of Legos. So, I have been learning how to build trucks, houses, flowers, and boats with Legos. I must say, I enjoy playing Legos with Camden - there is an objective and I actually feel as if I'm contributing to his "playing" experience.

I want to remember this as Camden turns 3.

Sharing

Apparently three is the age where friends begin coming over to play - just because playing with friends is fun. Lesson learned - we need to work on sharing. Daddy thinks he would be the best sharing teacher, not Mommy. Maybe there will be two sharing students in this new class....

And, thanks to my nice husband who was willing to hang out indoors with us and assist me in my most recent sewing project. He gladly shared his time, talents, and abilities. And, very soon (after a quick trip to Jo-Anns) we should have a new shower curtain. I'll share photos when completed (in case you are interested).

Big Splash

Our second trip to Big Splash Adventure - it was fun, but cold. The water was decent, but my oh my, when you get out of the water, brrr, brrr, brrr. At least they have a hot tub for adults only. And the kids, they don't care if they are cold - they are having way too much fun!

Can you find the sneaky little birthday boy up there trying to drench Mommy?

See, he thought is was funny!
