We enjoyed the fireworks show at Bogg's this year with a Subway picnic, but on the 4th of July, Camden was tuckered out from swimming most of the day. He missed the "do-it-yourself" fireworks, so Uncle Jerry was kind enough to save a few sparklers just for Camden. They were a hit! I don't know what it is about boys but playing with fire and lighting fireworks is a big deal. Coming from a small family of girls only, fireworks were just not that big of a deal. Austin assures me that they are a big deal - so this year was just the beginning.
Cam had a little fall (off cousin Craig's back while they were playing horsey). After a few hours of Camden crying and not using his arm, we decided to investigate further. After a couple trips to Jasper, we confirmed that there were no broken bones. He was a good sport and allowed the doctors to do what they needed to do.
The house is coming along even though we had a little set back. Our builder fell from a ladder and had a few complications - a minor head injury and a several broken ribs. Thankfully he is back to normal and doing well.
Camden and Grady have gotten to spend lots of time together lately. It won't be too long until Grady and Camden are neighbors.
We took a trip to Holiday World aka "Herday Word" as Camden calls it. He was very anxious to ride the seahorses, but once he got and they got going - he cried, and cried, and cried. Same thing on the carousel. We've determined that rides that go round and round aren't for Camden. Cam is 36 inches so he was able to enjoy the Raging Rapid (this was his favorite and we rode several times), the Watubee water slide, and several other big kid rides.
